Microsoft is celebrating its 50th anniversary this week, and to mark the occasion, it has released a collection of brand-new Windows wallpapers.
Over on the official Windows Blog, Microsoft has shared a delightful bundle of wallpapers for Windows PCs, and the best part is you can download them for free.
They’re far more creative than you might expect! Microsoft’s designers have explored the theme of “50” in a variety of imaginative ways, incorporating everything from the iconic Microsoft logo to blooming tulips. Each wallpaper is available in high-resolution 4K, with widescreen formats included. There are even versions tailored specifically for dark mode, adding a touch of mystery and elegance to the collection.
A personal favourite is the “50” rendered in cascading Solitaire cards, a nostalgic nod to the iconic victory animation from the classic game. Mahjong also makes an appearance, though curiously, there’s no sign of Minecraft (yet!). The Windows-themed wallpaper is another charming addition.
Note: These are preview images of the wallpapers and are just for demonstration purposes only. Please do not download them directly. Instead, use the designated download link below in the provided section.
