Huawei Pura X: A Quick Overview
While most smartphone manufacturers are making incremental refinements to their foldable devices, Huawei has raised the bar with an innovative design for its latest clamshell foldable, the Huawei Pura X. The phone unfolds sideways, giving it a form factor similar to a tablet with a 16:10 aspect ratio.
The Huawei Pura X features a 6.3-inch LTPO2 Foldable OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, while the outer screen is a 3.5-inch LTPO2 OLED panel. Powering the device is the Kirin 9020 chipset, and notably, it is the first Huawei smartphone to launch without Android app compatibility, instead relying on Huawei’s in-house Harmony Intelligence AI assistant.
The device is available in 12GB and 16GB RAM variants, with storage options of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. It packs a 4,720mAh battery with 66W wired fast charging support. For selfies, the phone features a 10.7MP front-facing camera.
On the back, the Huawei Pura X boasts a quad-camera system, consisting of a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP telephoto lens, a 40MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 1.5MP spectral image sensor. In terms of pricing, the Pura X starts at CNY 7,499 (€955 / $1,035).
