After many rounds of speculation and rumours, Apple has finally confirmed the date for its upcoming iPhone 16 event, which they’ve named ‘It’s Glowtime.’ While many reports had suggested that the event would happen on September 10, Apple has decided to hold it a day earlier, on September 9.
The event will take place at the Steve Jobs Theatre on Monday, September 9, at 10:00 AM PT. It’s expected that Apple will reveal their latest iPhone during this event. There are also rumours that we might see updates to some iPad models and possibly new versions of the AirPods Pro. The AirPods Max might also get an upgrade, which could be perfect timing for the December holiday season, just like their original launch in early December.
As is usually the case when Apple announces a new iPhone launch event, they also release a new logo that gives some hints about the event. This time, the invitation shows swirling colours around the Apple logo, along with the phrase, “It’s Glowtime.”
Of course, Apple experts will be busy trying to find hidden clues in the colourful design. But for us, we’re just excited to enjoy some Glowtime wallpapers on our iPhones.

The well-known graphic artist BasicAppleGuy quickly created two stunning wallpapers inspired by the event invitation's design. He created these wallpapers using the flowing bands of colour from the invite, which also include the Apple logo from the original invitation. He released both a full-colour version and a "dark mode" version. You can check out the previews below.
